According to officials, life in the Kashmir valley remained unaffected, with most shops and businesses operating as usual.

Officials said that the prime minister landed at Srinagar airport and proceeded to Badamibagh Cantonment, the headquarters of the Army's 15th Chinar Corps, according to PTI.

They added that at Badamibagh Cantonment, Modi would lay a wreath at the War Memorial to honour the fallen soldiers.

Subsequently, Modi would travel to Bakshi Stadium, the venue for the Prime Minister's event, via Gupkar and Zero Bridge in a motorcade.

Narendra Modi in Kashmir LIVE updates: Former chief minister and National Conference (NC) leader Omar Abdullah criticised the Jammu and Kashmir administration on Wednesday, alleging that they were making extensive efforts to gather a crowd for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's imminent rally.

He claimed that thousands of government employees had been instructed to gather at specific locations before dawn to be transported to Modi's rally venue.

"Employees, men and women in 1000s are being asked to assemble between 4:30 am and 5:30 am in the freezing temperatures to be bused to the venue. This participation isn't optional, it's compulsory. Employees who don't show up are being threatened with disciplinary action by their dept heads," he said on X.
